The 5th Global Bancassurance Summit brought together leading bancassurance experts, to share their best practices and experiences in the industry. During the two days, presentations, questions and discussions took place in such intensity, that was almost impossible to follow the time schedule.
The first day of this summit focused on the latest trends in bancassurance and building strong and sustainable business model as a prerequisite for long term success. Our renowned speakers shared the most relevant components which are necessary to boost growth, to enhance profitability, and to improve customer experience.
Our Chairman, Carlo Barbera, was navigating the flow during the two days, sparking the discussions with curious questions, welcoming everyone to join in. While during the first half of the day the presentations were predominantly from the banks and insurance companies, giving the floor to Massimo Palmas from Swedbank, Carlo Barbera and Fabio Zampaglione from Uni Bank, Dominik Strebel from Generali, Angelo Guerra Vilela from Ageas, Hannes Gurtl from VIG, the second half of the day was filled with interesting overviews from the insurtech companies.
The second day of the summit focused on reviewing real case studies on the use of Artificial Intelligence as well as advanced technologies such as analytics & big data, and their impact on customer retention. Christoph Carl, representing Allianz, was busy answering numerous questions. The innovative technological and AI solutions implemented in Aksigorta, presented by Tolga Gunes, showcased the level of maturity of AI adoption and the benefits of the advanced technologies.
Various legal aspects were also discussed during the two days, by Anne Fischer from Allen&Overy, Francesco Passera from McKinsey and Konstantinos Issaias from KG Law Firm.
Furthermore, we heard the Insurtech insights and how they are becoming a game changer and reshaping the world of Bancassurance. Enowa, Anivo, Penni.io and Riskine all expressed their innovative approach.
The secret of successful alliances was elaborated in the panel, where the participants discussed how banks and insurance companies can cooperate and create customer value as a prerequisite for success!
