As technology innovation, higher customer expectations and disruptive newcomers redefine the marketplace, Health insurers remain focused on growing top-line sales, bottom-line profitability, addressing challenges, and competing in a dynamic industry.

Our Baltic Health Insurance that was held in Riga last week on 22nd & 23rd November, has discussed the most burning issues in healthcare sector in the Baltic Region, The first day of this conference started with an interesting case study from Seesam where we heard how the health insurance is developing in the Baltic region. This rich presentation was followed by a very exciting panel discussion where some of the speakers shared the current challenges that they are facing and what opportunities can be delivered by the digital transformation, during this panel we heard also the importance of Telemedicine and how can decrease costs and help the patients to stay healthier.

Some of the presentations spotted the light on the importance of focusing on behavioral health, and how to be meaningful in the age of digital health Insurance, others shared some trends and strategies to accelerate the adoption of digital health technology.

 

During this full enriched day, We learned about wellness and lifestyle programs and how can change health sector, as well Cross Boarder patient directive competition to private insurance system in EU.

The second was more focused on Digital transformation, where we learned how to become a digital insurer, this case study, showed how to enhance efficiency and to raise your profitability by using the right technologies.

We ended our conference with a great presentation about the Millennial, and what they are expecting from the public health services providers, followed by an opened floor discussion where all the audience participated and shared some insights regarding this matter.
